Here are some quotes from the offenders during Sat open mic time and Sunday's closing:

"I’ve been going through a spiritual battle. Now I’m a truly different man. Yesterday I gave my life to Christ."

"Without Him I know I would have failed. Being a part of this weekend has opened my eyes to the fact that God has a greater work for me that’s not done."
"I’ve been more challenged to serve the way that I’ve seen here."

"This has been a revival to me. We have been praying for this for years."

"I’ve had a need to forgive and covered it up with Christian service."

"This is the first time that I’ve prayed in over 2 years. I had given up on God."

"I wanted to run out the door. I was ashamed, I was sure that people were judging me, but God made me stay. I was wrong. You showed me love and acceptance."

"We've been had!"

"I came here looking for something. I didn’t know if I’d find it, but now I have the Holy Spirit."

"I could never find a better lover."

"We need to take this back to the hood that we came from."

"We were filled and now we’re part of the 'Puddle Brothers'."

"God took a hardened heart and made it tender."

"I forgot I was in prison."

"What we found was the face of Christ. We’ve been flooded with the anointing."

"God opened my eyes and ears and what I heard were the voices of angels."

"We came here with an agenda but by the time we left the first evening we found that we had a whole new reason for being here."

"I get out in 6 months and I’m taking Jesus Christ into the world with me."

"I used to think that blacks and whites shouldn’t be together. Now I know that we are all one people."

"When I came in here Thursday I thought I was alright but I was consumed by anger. Now I'm free."

"Yesterday, I gave my life to Christ. I'm going to walk the walk. I was an Islamic Jihadist who believed what my leaders told me. They lied to me! They said 'Christianity is a white man's religion.' Now look, those who were supposed to love me lied to me, but those who supposedly didn't love me are here loving me."

"I thought I knew what Christianity was. I thank you for showing me."

"These walls have come down!"

"I am different. I inflicted a lot of pain. Now, I want to show love."

"I haven't seen my family in 10 years. This week my family came to visit."

"Everybody knows that when I watch the TV show, 'Extreme Makeover' I cry. I watch you guys build a house in 3 days! Now, I am an official 'Puddle Brother'."

"I believed in God all my life, but I was mad at Him. 6 weeks ago I quit blaming God and asked Him to show me love. You did and I thank you and I thank Him."

Daily Prayer Focus

Today's prayer focus is on the offenders inside WVCF. Pray they choose to attend the prayer and share groups and Kairos Reunions as able from now on. Pray the Holy Spirit continues to build up the band of brothers inside the fence and embolden them to share God's love with their fellow inmates.
